Thank you for your interest in the London Borough of Ealing, our Regional Park Programme, and for considering a role with the Council.
We are ambitious for our residents, committed to climate action, and dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our communities.
We have a vision of polycentric growth for Ealing’s seven towns, which aims to ensure everyone benefits from growth and promotes connectivity throughout the borough. Central to this is the creation of a Regional Park for West London. The regional park is at the forefront of the council’s strategic efforts to green the borough’, give back 800,000 m²—the equivalent of 130 football pitches—to nature through re-wilding and wildlife reintroduction, and develop ten new community growing spaces.
Having one regional park that connects all our green spaces and contributes to the region’s economy by attracting significant capital investment to develop various facilities, including sports pitches, play areas, and a state-of-the-art outdoor cultural venue, will improve citizens’ lives and respond to the climate emergency.
We have made significant steps forward, advancing the programme through master planning and are now looking to recruit a strategic Chief Programme Officer with experience working on similar significant programmes at either a regional or national level. You will be a creative leader with a passion for green space, a commitment to net zero, and a focus on health and well-being, who can help us realise this vision.
